Episode Description
The world’s coral reefs are home to a quarter of all marine life – and they’re being wiped out. The Water Brothers visit the Meso-American reef, which stretches for over 1,000 km off the coasts of Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras. This reef attracts an incredible diversity of life, however, 80% of the coral cover across the entire Caribbean has disappeared in the last 30 years. Why is this happening and what can be done to end the destruction? The Water Brothers are determined to find out how both locals and tourists can play important roles in protecting reefs all around the world.
WOW I love the water brothers’ videos, keep it up!
What an eye opener…I know there are negative changes happening world wide but the visual is so poweful. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to make better choices.
Great adventures that provides such vale… on behalf of all life!
Hi,
My niece has shared your shows with me as we love watching nature documentaries together. We also love it that you are Canadian and you are doing such great and important work at home and out in the world.
We’d really love it if you were the Canadians that you are, rather than more appearing to be American in your presentations in that it is so surprising to hear your use feet and miles rather than Metric measurements, which the majority of the world outside of the US uses!
Also, it would be great if your pronunciation was Canadian too! The Caribbean is named for the Carib Indian, and pronouced “Cara bee an” rather than the “Ca rib bean” as the Americans say.
I know that these are such minor things and that you are doing such great work; it’s the Canadian pride in seeing your success that gets these tiny disappointments when it appears to be marketed for the Americans rather than Canada and the world.
Wishing you continued success.
Sharon
